UltraTuner - Precision Tuning App Reviews

This is far from what Id consider to be a good tuner. Tracking is erratic, it doesnt identify the note being tracked correctly, its a mess and Id have rated it lower if I had paid for it. Otherwise, nice graphics. The in app pop ups seem to work great though. Theyre as annoying as Im sure they were meant to be. Just like they do in the Blueboard app. Stop the spamming IK Multimedia - its not eliciting the kind of attention or reaction you want.

Absolutely robbery. I paid for the app to accompany the iRig adapter the company sells. The web page even took me to the app. After install I got an error stating something was wrong with communication with the audiobus. So I went to their forums for the fix just to find out a ton more people having the same problem. You would think they would have a fix but noooooo instead they have multiple posts promising an update.... Hello its been a few months.... The company might want to consider not making the app available until its compatible with the new iOS. Makes me wonder how much profit they make ripping people off. -- Jack assess.

The app opens, asked me to use microphone, i said Yes. But it does not register any note I play. It does nothing. I checked the help manual. I had to register to do so. I registered, and needed an email to complete. No email showed up. Watch app doesnt work either. A complete waste of money.

Like the previous reviewer, this app is non-functional on the Apple Watch. When I first ran it, a dialog appeared on the phone asking for access to the microphone (the phones, not the Apple Watchs) which seemed odd. But then it still didnt do anything. I had expected it to use the microphone on the watch. Since I specifically bought this for the Apple Watch support, this is a big disappointment.

Bought this app because they advertised that it worked with the apple watch. It shows up on the watch and thats where it ends. Hoping they will fix with an update since it was a paid app.

Will not work on an IPhone 6+ either. NOT HAPPY HERE!!!!

Purchased for the Apple Watch, but will not work. No sign of anything except the Application. A quick update would be very helpful. Its advertised for the Watch too.

Like every other review, I purchased this app for the watch functionality. The tuner does not work through the watch. Hoping for a fix soon.

Save your 5 dollars and search for something else. Does not work with the apple watch. This company should be penalized for fraud. You can tell they just put a screenshot of the app on the watch face that does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING.

I bought it because it works on the Apple Watch. It doesn’t. UPDATE Actually, the Apple Watch mirrors the iPhone app. The Apple Watch does not work as a stand alone tuner. You still need to have the app running on your iPhone, using its microphone, not the watchs. Seems worthless as a Watch app.

I understand the limitations of a watch app as it stands now. It needs the microphone as well as the app from your phone. My beef is that at this point it opens the app on your phone and leaves it open even after you quit on your watch. If you dont pull your phone out and turn it off it will drain your battery. This sort of defeats the convenience nature of the watch app because you need to pull the phone out anyway. Heres hoping that the developers are quick to address concerns. All that being said, much potential with this app.

Given the price and the reputation of this developer - I expected more. The tuner on the phone is fine (there are dozens available for less money or for free that are just as good) - but I chose this one because it included an app for the Watch. Such a disappointment. It’s not so much an app for the Watch as it is using the Watch as a second screen for the phone. If I have to have my phone’s mic out and close to my instrument when tuning - then what earthly good does it do to have it on my Watch. Someone will create an app that uses the mic on the Watch, the processing power of the phone in my pocket, and the display on my wrist to make a killer tuner app - but this is not it.

Dont buy this. I want my money back. Its the worst tuner app Ive ever tried and I think the most expensive. Its also useless on the apple watch.

This is the best tuner out there, as long as you only use your iPad in the vertical mode. Because thats the only way it works visually. It will not rotate horizontally. So if you want to use it as part of a setup with Audiobuss, its very disconcerting, as all the other apps using Audiobuss are set up to work horizontally. Which makes it very uncomfortable to use unless you use it as a stand alone. Get in the game guys !
